As a visual artist

In my works, I explore nature and its phenomena. The expression of the pieces often moves between representational and abstract forms with an impressionistic touch.

I want my art to resonate with the viewer primarily on a sensory level, allowing them to form their own understanding from it.

The sacred ancestor of ancient Finns, the bear, often appears in my works alongside humans and the natural world. I believe that humans can access knowledge of nature through ancestral wisdom and subconscious imagery. In addition to the latest scientific publications, I am interested in nature religions, animism, ancient beliefs, and symbolism.

With the different themes and visual art techniques I use, I develop, transform, and interconnect the idea of each piece, line by line. I experimentally search for the unique way each work lives and breathes. I aim for my works to be experienced as soulful individuals.

As a synesthete, I hear chords in colors and see colors in words. I experience different art forms as one, without the boundaries traditionally assigned to them.
